How working days are counted
Choose the weekly-off pattern that matches your organisation:
- Saturday & Sunday: most offices and IT companies.
- Sunday only: many shops, factories and six-day workplaces.
- Sunday + 2nd & 4th Saturday: Indian banks, as mandated by RBI and IBA. The 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays are working days.
- Friday & Saturday: the weekend in some Gulf countries.
Example
October 2026 has 31 days. With Saturday–Sunday weekends there are 22 weekdays. Excluding Gandhi Jayanti (2 October) and a festival holiday on 20 October leaves 20 working days.
Adding holidays
Paste your company or state holiday list, one date per line in YYYY-MM-DD format. National holidays (26 January, 15 August, 2 October) are the same everywhere, but festival and state holidays vary, so use your own organisation's calendar.
